Add a header and footer

Site Owners and Site Administrators can add a site wide header and footer to give visitors clear navigation and essential links. Set your logo and primary menu in the header; use the footer for contact, legal, and secondary links.

Finding the settings

  • After signing in to Fresco, go to the 'Settings’ tab.
  • Select 'Header and Footer’. This will take you to the 'Header/Footer' settings page.

Adding a header

  • Under 'Site configuration', start typing the name of the header you want to use in the 'Site header' box. Typically this will be the 'Default site header' unless a custom header is required.
  • Select the correct header from the list that appears.
  • Click ‘Save configuration’.
  • A green status message will appear at the top of the page once your changes are saved.

  • Under 'Site configuration', start typing the name of the footer you want to use in the 'Site footer' box. Typically this will be the 'Default site footer' unless a custom footer is required.

  • Click ‘Save configuration’.

Selecting a menu

A navigation menu can be chosen using the 'Menu' drop down in the Edit header pane. Menus appearing in the drop down list are created in the Settings > Menu area of the Fresco Admin screen.
