Create an anchor link

Topic covers how to create and insert an anchor link (also known as a jump link). Anchor links enable you to jump between content on a page.

Create anchor link
- Edit the component of where you want to link to
- The following example is for the Heading component at the top of a page:

- Add a name for your anchor. For example: top
- This needs to be lowercase, first character a letter, and no spaces
- Select the Copy anchor link button
- Button changes to 'Anchor copied':

- ‘Anchor copied’ button turns green for a moment
Insert an anchor link
- Edit the text component from which you want to jump to the anchor
- Type in meaningful text for the anchor. For example: Back to top
- Highlight the text
- Go to the link icon in the editing ribbon. This is circled in yellow on the following image:

- Paste the copied anchor link into the Link URL field
- Select the green tick
- The text on the preview page turns to blue and is underlined:

- The anchor link can be tested after Save and Exit editing
