Overview of administration area

Fresco's administration area is your site’s control centre. It’s where you manage people and access, adjust site-wide settings and navigation, and shape reusable page and section templates. This short tour shows you where the key controls live, how to manage your content confidently and where to find help when you need it.

After signing in

  • You will see an admin ribbon with tabs for:
    • Content
    • Appearance
    • People
    • Settings
    • Help

Content

  • This provides an overview of published and unpublished pages
  • There are additional tabs for:
    • Media: find uploaded files or default files provided when your site was provisioned
    • Section Templates: contains templates created and saved during a page build
    • Page Templates: find templates you or others have created to be used when adding new pages
    • Reusable Content: add or find reusable content created for use on your site

Appearance

  • Upload a favicon
  • Default styling cannot be changed
  • It isn't yet possible to customise appearance settings

People

  • Add and edit user roles for editors on your site

Settings

  • Configure:
    • header and footer
    • menus
    • taxonomy terms
    • URL aliases, and URL redirects
    • basic site settings such as your site name. Site name is shown:
      • in the email notification sent to new users
      • in the title of the tab in the browser (e.g. in the format "<page_name> | <site_name>")
      • in the metadata of each page which search engines will parse
      • ignore the description about configuring a site's email address. This functionality isn't possible due to our SSO integration and we are unable to amend the info text because it is provided by Drupal Core
    • visibility and SEO settings for your site go-live
    • Cookie Control and Google Tag are not yet configurable
