What is Oxford Events?

Oxford Events is the University’s events listing platform.

The Oxford Events website provides a University-wide view of upcoming events, bringing together listings from departments, divisions, colleges and other University units in one place.
You can embed curated Oxford Events listings into University websites, including Fresco sites.

Getting started

Please note that you can only have one Oxford Events instance embedded on each website page.

How to embed Oxford Events

Go to the Oxford Events Helper page and sign in using SSO.

Adjust the filters to find the events you want to display. Use Search events to preview your selection and Reset filters to start again. The most commonly used filters are Series Name, Department (sub-unit) and Calendar Name.

  1. Set the Start Date to be ‘Forthcoming events only’
  2. Confirm you only have the filter(s) you want applied
  3. Choose which optional filters you want to show on your events page by clicking the 👁️ symbols.
  4. Select Fresco on the drop-down menu to ‘Embed in Fresco (Fig. 1)

How Oxford Events appears

  • Visitors can filter embedded event listings using the filters you have chosen to make available.
  • Further styling improvements are planned for a future release to bring embedded event listings more closely in line with the Fresco design framework.

Please note, the Fresco Service team can't troubleshoot issues with third-party applications. Refer to the support pages on the provider's website for guidance.
